Each FTR Recording Solution provides you with three main components:
Recording- Using a computer based recording system, the FTR software captures audio only, or both audio and video of proceedings. Using confidence monitoring and the other tools provided, you can be sure that everything is being properly recorded. Each recording is saved to the hard drive and can be archived during recording to a network, CD or other third party storage device.
Annotation- Each FTR program includes a note taking program that is directly time stamped and linked to the audio / video that was recorded. Quickly find the notes you are looking for by using search tools that allow you to find notes based on case #, location, date, and keywords placed anywhere within the notes themselves. Each program also provides a Microsoft Word add-in to allow note taking, with time stamp capabilities, using Microsoft Word.
Playback- Load and playback the exact audio / video you are looking for by simply clicking on the time stamped link in your notes. Finding and playing back an exact instance can take just a couple of minutes, even when searching through hundreds of hours of recordings taken over a period of months. Using the player you can isolate sections of a recording, or save it in other popular formats for easy distribution. And, the free player is accessible to anyone - providing transcriptionists easy access to the recordings.
To further benefit from these tools, it is important to provide participants in the system access to content without requiring additional investment. FTR has developed their system to make distribution of recordings and notes easy. Using the FTR capabilities, you can easily distribute recordings, and time-stamped notes to other interested parties without incurring any additional software costs. Any FTR recording can be played using the FREE player download, so you can distribute recordings on disk. Notes can be saved in HTML format so that users without an FTR program can then use the time stamped notes to access recordings.
